Foundations of Professional Coaching

This course builds a strong grounding in the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. Students learn to:

  • Distinguish coaching from advising, consulting, and counseling

  • Structure coaching conversations clearly

  • Cultivate trust and psychological safety

  • Strengthen presence and deep listening

  • Apply ICF performance markers in real conversations

COURSE 2

Coaching Practicum & Demonstration Lab

    (Live Instruction)

This course focuses on demonstration and refinement.

Students:

  • Conduct full coaching sessions observed by faculty

  • Submit and review recorded sessions

  • Receive structured feedback aligned with ICF standards

  • Strengthen clarity, pacing, and partnership

  • Prepare for credential performance expectations

The practicum ensures students can demonstrate — not simply describe — competency-based coaching.
